Channel Seven today revealed the names of the top seven psychics competing in The One: The Search for Australia’s Most Gifted Psychic premiering on Tuesday, July 8 at 7.30pm.
Charmaine Wilson, Amanda Roussety, Ezio De Angelis, She D’Montford, Mitchell Coombes, Rayleen Kable and Jason Betts will each stake their claim to the coveted title of ‘The One".
Hosted by Andrew Daddo, The One will challenge the way we think about psychic phenomena. Each week The One's psychics will showcase their abilities in a series of studio and location challenges, such as finding a lost child in the bush or getting inside the minds of well-known celebrities.
The One's expert panel - psychic expert Stacey Demarco and sceptic Richard Saunders - will decide who stays and who goes until the final episode where Australia will decide which of the remaining three psychics is 'The One'.
The seven contenders are:
Charmaine Wilson is a 43 year-old down-to-earth medium with a healthy sense of competition matched only by her compassion. Known for her accuracy she is highly regarded by the psychic community as one of the best in the country.
Amanda Rousetty is a 30 year-old non-professional psychic and mother of three who makes it hard for non-believers to be sceptical. Amanda discovered her gift of medical intuition as a 12 year-old when she confided in her mother that there was something wrong with her.
Ezio De Angelis is often described as Australia’s foremost authority on spirit communication. The 47 year-old’s inspired, vibrant demonstration of psychic mediumship has brought comfort to countless people across the country.
She D’Montford is a 44 year-old pagan witch with an honorary doctorate in religion and philosophy specialising in Tibetan and Hindu Shamanism. She also holds a degree in metaphysics.
Mitchell Coombes is a 5th generation psychic in his early twenties who specialises in clairvoyance, mediumship and psychometry. Mitchell discovered his gift as a small child and is known for his accuracy and genuine ability.
Rayleen Kable is a 38 year-old medium who has used her gift numerous times assisting police with their investigations. As a 3 year-old she saw spirits and heard voices but didn’t associate this as a special gift until she was 8 years old.
Jason Betts is a 37 year-old mathematical genius, Reiki master and Mensa member and with an IQ of 160. After surviving a momentary near-death experience he abandoned medicine to study science and philosophy in an attempt to better understand the universe we live in.
